JEFF ARUNDEL RELEASES “GHOST PARTY”

Jeff Arundel's "Ghost Party"Jeff Arundel is releasing his fifth studio record, “Ghost Party”, on May 10th. The record is released in cooperation with Under the Radar distribution, operated by music matriarch Miki Nord, and her husband, Jed.

“Ghost Party” is a shadow-box of acoustic guitar, Wurlitzer piano, and soulful grooves. Recorded in Brooklyn, NY, and co- produced by University of Minnesota marching band alum Rob Arthur, it is heralded as a record that is “sure to do better than his last one” (Mood Ring was released in 2000 on the ill-fated Zinc records label with Bobby Z).

Mr. Arundel has been around since 1990’s release “Walking in the Dark”, which earned him the moniker “cities97 favorite” from Tom Surowicz. 1993’s “Compass” won the Minnesota Music Award for best recording, back in the days when the MMA gave nice trophies, and 1996’s “Ride the Ride” was a finalist for NAIRD’s “Indie Album of the Year”. At the presentation, Mr. Arundel was referred to as “Jeff Arnoodle”. Jeff has also been busy as the producer and music director for EMI recording artist Keri Noble.

This has not prevented him from writing and recording an album that may finally break him free from being called the “James Taylor of the nineties”. J.A. seems intent on becoming the “white Shuggie Otis”.
