Welcome, welcome...

...watch the ceiling it is low, and wet, you are one of the few who has found their way to the JA journal, and today, here in the cellar, we can talk, alone. Keri and I are in Portland, Or, on a little Keri tour, heading to Eugene and Seattle, and then back to Minnie and NYC to finish the new Keri record.

I must tell you, it is @#$%^& good, this new Keri stuff, Keri is rockin' it, and if I do say so, the production isn't half bad. This will be a beautiful bouquet, from pretty babies breath to big bouncy blooming flowers of bright orange. Here is what no one knows yet--Keri is leaving her record company, because they want a certain thing, the ballads, the sitting at the piano, and Keri is ready to cut loose, footloose, a bit, and maybe even stand and strut, and dammit, she has to be who she is and this time record the way she wants, so they are letting go of her and she is floating into the sky.

We will finish the record in september and hope to have a new home soon after, so the record can come out in the Spring, but I might sneak a track or two onto this site, for you, you who come to the cellar and sit by the furnace.............

We played yesterday here in portland, because it was an hour long set I got to play a tune, naturally I rocked 'em with "Like a river" off ghost party, by the way, minneapolis' cities97 is playing it on acoustic sunrise, feel free to email them or call them, why not?

Some of you who live in minneapolis remember that we used to play at the Bean in excelsior, before Keri blew up.

We have missed playing there because it is such a cool little room, so on 8/6, we are going to do it again, under cover, because it only seats 50. 8pm, be there by 7, top secret, if you want a little taste. It is now called "318" , on water street, the main street, in excelsior.

Oh, you have to go? Yeah, I understand. Watch yer head on the stairs, it gets low, maybe next time we'll meet on the roof, the shingles get hot during the day, but if it's at night, should be OK............. JA
